At a big Thanksgiving dinner, one of the guest asked me, in front of everyone, if I was still playing music. In those words. In an old shaky granny voice, I responded that I do once in a while bring out the old Victrola and play Eddie Cantor. I then invited him to one of my shows - if the nursing home allowed him. It's so weird how I still feel like a rookie, that I have so much more to do and improve upon. Maybe I'm delusional or in denial, but I'm going with it. So...I'm still reporting to you more shows and theater stuff.
This Friday, I'm at the Listening Booth in Lewes, DE. On Saturday, I'm at the Frenchtown Bookshop in Frenchtown, NJ. On Sunday, I'm at the Kelly Center in Haverton, PA.
Dec. 13, I'm back in Denver! My hometown! At The Savoy
If any of you happen to have the afternoon free (2:00) on December 20th, You're invited to a reading of a new musical, Crimson Lit:Scarlet Letter Setlist. I won't be in it -I might play guitar with the band on a song or two - but I did write the music. It's really fetching and fun, if you ask me.
Lastly, I, again, am so excited about having a signature guitar. I used it this weekend at Mountain Stage.
I still play music.
cheers, jill
What an inspiring, funny story - thank you, Jill. :)
Howdy. Would love to attend the reading on December 20. Are tickets required or do we just show up? Broadway World has a link to click to get tickets. The link leads to The Tank, where there is no mention of the reading. Please advise. :)
Jill, a question about the signature guitar. Is the gig bag suitable for airplane travel? Not for check-in, I'd get the guitar so it could be a carry-on. Would the gig bag work in the overhead? Thanks.
