It's started -little by little. I'm back on the road. Lets look at the...so far:
I kicked ass at the City Winery in Boston and New York. I was afraid I'd lost my...pop, my fizz, my je ne sais quoi. But,I still got it. Of course it helps when you have a loving forgiving audience. There were some clams for sure. I played with a band, which I rarely can afford to take on the road. I had an A-team list of friends in the band: Julie Wolf, Kristen Henderson, Alex Nolen, Matthew Schneider.
I'm in Princeton for the Bayard Rustin Center! I've done many shows for them -like once a month since Covid began, but this will be the first real in person live show! I'm so excited to see Robert (the founder) and everyone in the organization. They don't know that I'm short probably.I know tickets may seem expensive, but it's for a really really good thing. In the Catskills, like the old days. Each week, my friend Julian Fleisher brings in "a rotating line-up of world class performers" to the Andes Hotel in Andes New York. I hope Henny Youngman can open up for me. This should be so fun! Tickets here
I'm so excited for this! I'll be doing two nights drive-in style for the Peoples Light theater in Malvern, PA - outside of Philly. You gotta come. I will do a bunch of songs from my show "F*ck 7th Grade" and more! Bring a lawn chair or sit on the roof. Wear your pajamas, and eat a lot. More info here: here
Oh, I almost forgot! No NY Summer is complete without a Fire Island shindig.I should grow my hair long again, no?
Email me or my butler, Milton at jill@jillsobule.com for any reason at all. More shows and house concerts to be added everyday!
Oh, if you could tell people about our 8/21 show, that’d be great!
